Making liquid hand soap?

I'm looking for a way to make my own eco-friendly liquid soap. I'm currently looking at the first recipe on this page. It sounds easy enough, but I've never done this before.

Thoughts, suggestions, or alternate recipes are appreciated. :)

that sounds a very simple and easy recipe that hits the key issues - boiling, letting it set, making sure there are no lumps, making sure it's a consistency that will work for you. (the finer you grate the soap, the faster it will all dissolve; if you have a food processor with a very fine grating blade that makes almost a powder, that works great.)

I might need to get a new grater, then. Bet I can find one at a thrift store.

I confess that I haven't yet worked up the courage to make my own liquid soap from scratch. I currently just buy an organic liquid 'castile' from my ingredients supplier, for hand soap. And have recently fallen in love with foamy bottles.

Having rebatched a bit (for solid soap), though, this recipe looks perfectly doable if that's what you're looking for, and it would be easy to trial it in small batches. I heartily recommend the food processor recommendation - perhaps you could find one at a thrift store or Freecycle?
